Histologically Defined Biomarkers in Renal Studies
The Rat Acute Kidney Injury Test (AKI Test®) is a term given to the triple biomarker assessment of rat urine to establish renal status using Argutus Medical's site-specific early nephrotoxicity biomarkers. The combination of urinary alpha GST (proximal tubular injury), GST Yb1 (distal tubular injury) and RPA-1 (collecting duct injury) enables renal injury to be detected earlier and more reliably than when using serum or single urinary biomarker. Furthermore, quantitive information is given as the site and extent of renal injury.
This Rat triplex test is no longer available from Argutus Medical. Please contact Mesoscale Discovery who now provide this product. Mesoscale Discovery are based in Gaithersburg, MD, USA.
