Rat GST Yb1 (mu)

Urinary Rat GSTYb1 and Renal Injury

In the Rat Kidney, GST Yb1 is found in significant concentrations in the straight and convoluted distal tubules. GST Yb1 is released into the urine upon injury to the distal tubules. Quantification of GST Yb1 is a unique method for assessing distal tubular damage in rat kidneys. Together with RPA-1 (collecting duct) and Alpha GST (proximal tubules) it provides a broad picture of nephron status from a single urine sample

Argutus Medical GSTYb1 EIA

iStock 000000309784Small The Argutus Medical GST Yb1 EIA is a quantitative enzyme immunoassay for the assay of GST Yb1 in rat urine. For the assay of GST Yb1 in other materials and species, contact info@argutusmed.com for advice. The test procedure is based on the sequential addition of sample, anti GST Yb1-conjugate, and substrate to microassay wells coated with anti rat GST Yb1. The resultant colour intensity is proportional to the amount of GST Yb1 present in the sample. Assay range is 1.56-100 ug/L, equivalent to 19.5-1250 ug/L in stabilized samples diluted 1/10, and the total assay time is 2.25 hours.

Recent News about GST Yb1

GST Yb1 was included in the ILSI HESI nephrotoxicity working group validation project. As part of the project assessment, it was included essentially as a negative control.
