Use
of Urine Stabilising Buffers
The pH of
urine is close to 7 but can normally vary between 4.5 and 8. Strongly acidic or
alkaline urine may denature proteins present that the analyst may wish to
measure. The Argutus stabilising buffer neutralises urine and contains a
bactericidal preservative. All of this allows the user to confidently store rat
and human urine samples before analysis in the laboratory.
